Pet Industry Awards - T&Cs

1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern participation in the Pet Industry Awards, including entries, voting, sponsorships, ticket purchases and event attendance. By submitting an entry, casting a vote, purchasing a ticket or engaging with the awards platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
The Pet Industry Awards are organised by Best Friends Pet Co L.L.C‑FZ (the “Organiser”).

2. Eligibility
2.1 All entrants must operate within the pet industry and hold any relevant licences, permits or registrations required within their country or region.
2.2 Businesses, brands, organisations and individuals may enter multiple categories where relevant.
2.3 Entrants must not engage in the sale of cats or dogs.
2.4 The Organiser reserves the right to request supporting documentation, including trade licences, certifications or proof of operation.
2.5 Entries containing false, misleading or incomplete information may be disqualified.

3. Entries & Category Submissions
3.1 Entry submissions must be completed before the published closing deadline.
3.2 Entry fees apply per category entered unless otherwise stated.
3.3 Submission of an entry does not guarantee nomination, finalist status or an award.
3.4 The Organiser reserves the right to move entries into more appropriate categories where necessary.
3.5 The Organiser may refuse or remove any entry deemed inappropriate, offensive, misleading or not aligned with the awards.

4. Entry Fees & Payments
4.1 All entry fees are non-refundable once payment has been processed.
4.2 Discounts for multiple category entries may be offered at the Organiser’s discretion.
4.3 Any bank charges, currency conversion fees or payment processing charges are the responsibility of the entrant.
4.4 Failure to complete payment may result in removal from the awards.

5. Public Voting
5.1 Winners are determined through public voting unless otherwise stated.
5.2 The Organiser reserves the right to monitor voting activity and investigate suspicious, fraudulent or automated voting behaviour.
5.3 Votes generated through bots, fake accounts, vote-buying services, VPN manipulation or other unfair practices may be removed without notice.
5.4 The Organiser’s decision regarding vote validity is final.
5.5 Interim voting results and rankings are confidential and will not be disclosed.

6. Judging & Winners
6.1 Winners and runners-up will be announced via the official awards channels and/or at the awards ceremony.
6.2 The Organiser reserves the right not to present an award in any category if deemed appropriate.
6.3 All decisions made by the Organiser are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

7. Sponsorship Terms
7.1 Sponsorship packages are subject to separate sponsorship agreements and availability.
7.2 Sponsorship payments are non-refundable once confirmed and production or marketing activity has commenced.
7.3 Sponsor benefits, branding placements and activation opportunities may vary depending on venue restrictions, operational requirements and event timelines.
7.4 The Organiser reserves the right to refuse sponsorships that conflict with existing agreements or the values of the awards.

8. Marketing & Use of Content
8.1 By entering the awards, entrants grant the Organiser permission to use submitted logos, images, videos, business names and entry content for marketing, promotional and editorial purposes related to the awards.
8.2 Entrants confirm they hold the rights to any materials submitted.
8.3 Winners and finalists may reference their status in marketing materials provided it is accurate and relates to the correct award year.

9. Event Attendance & Tickets
9.1 Tickets for live events are non-refundable except where required by law.
9.2 The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry or remove attendees behaving in a disruptive, unsafe or inappropriate manner.
9.3 Event schedules, venues and timings may change without prior notice.

10. Disqualification
The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entrant, voter, sponsor or attendee who:

  • breaches these Terms & Conditions

  • engages in fraudulent or misleading behaviour

  • attempts to manipulate voting

  • brings the awards into disrepute

  • provides false information


11. Liability
11.1 The Organiser accepts no responsibility for technical issues, website downtime, lost submissions or interrupted voting processes.
11.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Organiser shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from participation in the awards.

12. Force Majeure
The Organiser shall not be held liable for delays, cancellations or changes caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to weather, government restrictions, venue closures, public health issues, technical failures or force majeure events.

13. Changes to the Awards
The Organiser reserves the right to amend categories, timelines, venues, judging processes, voting systems or these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

14. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws applicable in the United Arab Emirates and the UK unless otherwise stated for specific regional editions.
